Self publishing

I added a FAQ in the Book section of my portfolio that details everything involved in self publishing and the process of building a book from scratch. For those of you who don't know where to start, this might be a good resource.

Revamped Website

I've been working on the new look for the website using some of the CSS stuff I learned last week. I basically made it look the way i wanted it in PhotoShop and then did the mouseovers and output in ImageReady. It's a little old school in that it uses an image map rather than a cool Flash applet but I plan on getting the new Adobe Creative Suite 3 Designer Package that actually came out today asap. I think that will make things more efficient and make more animations possible. I may put together a sort of "How I did it" page to better explain the techniques i used to make this page come together. Hope you like it!

Web Design

Prior to my last five years in the print publishing industry, I spent a little time designing websites and flash applets. Things got so busy that I let that technology pass me by. In considering the overall need for graphic designer services, it appears that the ability to design top-notch, functional websites would open my business up to a much larger client base. I have alwayas been comfortable setting up simple "web presence" websites but lately not much more than that.

Therefore, I have purchased the latest version of Dreamweaver and am currently studying up on CSS and some of the other new features in HTML programming. I hope to soon be able to program more useful and usable websites which I can then offer my clients as part of the Business Identity packages.

I'll post samples when I have them.
